Tuesday peregrination

Do you fish the Kish?

Tuesday peregrination

Postby Rambler » Aug Wed 08, 2018 7:05 am

Set out a bit late yesterday planning to hit a couple spots on the Kish. I put my trust in the forecast that predicted 'scattered thunderstorms' - might be the last time I do that. Had my waders along & planned to try for smallies.

By the time I got to Rte 47 it started raining. Not 'scattered thunderstorms' - hard pounding, driving rain. But I kept going in the hopes it would let up. It didn't.

Checked out 3 spots anyway just for future reference & started home. Of course along the way it cleared up so I headed to Beck & had a nice evening throwing buzzbaits for bass that couldn't have cared less. But it was a nice way to end a frustrating & fishless day.
Keep calm and fish on...

Radar app would have saved some gas.

Peregrination: a long meandering journey. Had to look it up.

Yep, it was a gulley washer for awhile. They had flash flood warnings posted here until 6pm last night.

What spots did you check out Rambler?

Joe: You should know that after 36 years selling high tech I remain a dedicated Luddite. Anyway, apps take the adventure out of things.

That would be telling. I'm sure you've been to them all.

Guess the rain killed the chances of any expectation of another 12" chub catch this week. Que Sera

Oh boy, the ridicule I have to bear for getting out and catching chubs. Sounds like jealousy to me. :D

I catch a chub almost every morning. Wish it was 12 inches

Jokes aside, catching a creek chub is on my list of things to do

Probably at one time or another. I actually haven't fished any of it for a few years.

North or South?
