Try this
1. Click on User control panel
2. click overview
3. click profile
4. click edit profile
5. Click edit avatar
6. Click choose file
7. Pick your photo and upload it. You may have to resize it. The only way I could do it was to use a separate app for photo resizing. Hope it works. ~JOE~

There may be other ways but this worked for me. I have only uploaded photos from my phone I don't use anything else.

The site is pretty finicky about the size of avatars. So you might need to download something like Picasa in order to resize whatever you want to use down to a size the site will accept.

Picasa is free - sort of a poorman's Photoshop but not bad.
Keep calm and fish on...

There's a fine line between fishing and just sitting there looking stupid

You could also get a photobucket or flickr account and then copy the image code from photobucket and paste that code into the post. Then it will post in on the site. That's how I do it and if you would like some help I could walk you through that.

Yep 3 mb on the pics if you upload directly to the site. If you have a photobucket account, which is free, you can add all the links you want.
To fish or not to fish......that's a stupid question.
