Me my No 1 favorite type of fishing is walleye with a VMC jig and a 3" gulp mino

2nd up would be catfish using a bluegill cut bait

Now this is not all I fish for just 2 of my favorite I will be targeting Bass vary soon
Then moving to muskie

Very hard to pick a definitive favorite, but I really enjoy wading small rivers for smallmouth, with Mepps spinners and Rebel Craws.
Any kind of surface fishing probably rates as 1-B. Poppers for panfish, and the original Rebel Pop-Rs for bass.

I've got 2 favorites. 1) Buzzbaits in my canoe. 2) Wading clear, rocky creeks throwing whatever works - usually UL jig & grubs, sometimes flies. This is my 2nd favorite mostly because there aren't many clear, rocky creeks around here.
Keep calm and fish on...

There's a fine line between fishing and just sitting there looking stupid

Jerkbaits all day long. Everything hits them and never gets old. 2nd would be anything topwater. Buzzbaits, poppers, Frogs, Spooks....

Fishing for big blue cats from my kayak and trolling 3 way rigs for whatever will bite it. My 3 ways I usually use a DT6 or 10 and a small spinner or spoon or even a fly.

I need to start using more 3 way rigs and more slip bobber rigs in the river

Froggin by far. Once this time of year hits its almost all I use (depending on lake of course).

Topwater in general would be next. That visual/audible strike followed by that initial run are top notch and such a rush.

Small softbody swimbaits wading the DuPage are something I always look forward to.

If you can pick a favorite, you are really missing out on a lot of good stuff.

Well, given I have limited access as a shore-stuck fisherman my goto is a 5-inch senko, recently been using this great two-tone "lemon-lime" color. Also the orange/pumpkin. It's seeing your line snap taut or start moving off in an un-natural direction which means: hit that sh*t!! That I love. Even better when you get a nice solid thunk on the hookset knowing you've got a good one on.

Secondary to plastics early/late I do fish lures, Rat-L-Traps being my fave with chatters 2nd.
