Floating TRDs

There's a few decent fish to be caught here if you know what you're doing. Water level is down from lack of rain

When I 1st saw this I thought it said, "Floating TURDS" & was prepared to be disgusted.

Nice fish.
Keep calm and fish on...

There's a fine line between fishing and just sitting there looking stupid

Or it could have been scooped out by buckets.

I am pretty sure that's what TRD implies.

Thanks. I wasn't trying to make a dig at anyone, just implying that there's one technique I've figured out that seems to work here and other similar ponds. Mostly I see people with long poles, bobbers and buckets, even though it's supposed to be catch and release. Saw one person dive into the water after a fish that got away

Nice fish.

Hey we're pretty clean in AH! Although it was gross seeing people swimming here last summer when the boat house was closed because of the pandemic

Don't they have a beach there for that specific activity? Lol. But I agree, that lake smells disgusting I wouldn't be caught dead swimming in there.

That place is a catfish factory. Never had luck hooking into anything else.

it's not for swimming. it's really for launching kayaks and sail boats. the same thing happens at hastings lake with people using the launch as their kids/dog beach.

Oof, Hastings. Shore fisherman's worst nightmare lol. The walk from the parking lot to the second pier is nuts. Then you finally get there and realize you can barely cast past the pads lol.
