I was there in April and got skunked. To be fair, the wind was insane that day and bright sun probably didn't help. I would indeed like to get out there in the kayak - just haven't been hearing a lot of great reports the last few years.

It's a very challenging body of water! Lots of pressure....arguable more than even Busse when you consider that Mallard is smaller and literally the entire shoreline is accessible to fish. Not uncommon to see the banks lined with people. Best bet is to get offshore especially in the summer but the bite is still challenging.
