Maple bass

I've been fishing the back side of maple the last couple of weekends without anything to show for. Too many weeds on that side. I went out yesterday morning figured i'd try the peninsula as it wasn't to crowded. I was throwing a silver rattle trap and to my surprise the bass thought it looked pretty tasty. I ended up landing 3 for the day. With the first being the biggest and then they got smaller from there.

thanks guys, it's always great catching a big o bass. I'm hoping to land a pike from there this summer.

Pike are hard to find in the summer shore bound. Late October, early November with a black/blue chatterbait is
when I catch a few. Nothing big, but a nice surprise.
