Excellent fishing opportunities in the western suburbs.

Headed out for the old "gotta run to the bank and grocery store" fishing blitz on Monday. Guy like me finishes those errands in ten minutes which leaves fifty minutes to play with. Enough for a quick six pack knowing fish are very predictable in these conditions.

Had more time to play on Tuesday and even brought out the waders. Fish have already been abandoning their high water spots as the flows are gradually dropping.

Bite's been pretty good on the Dupe but I'm a bit crabby about the raging Des Plaines. Gotta drop big time for me to salvage some time out there on my vacay.

Nice batch of smallies J-dog. Don't you usually mention what was working for you? Something is missing. Trout season on the Dupage soon, yeah? lol

Dog - I think you need to try targeting smallies & trout on Salt Creek.
Keep calm and fish on...

There's a fine line between fishing and just sitting there looking stupid
