Area rivers - a bad spawn?

There are seemingly endless amounts of rivers, creeks and their tributaries throughout northeast Illinois.

Area rivers - a bad spawn?

Postby mike son » May Wed 22, 2019 10:12 pm

Haven't been able to fish my smallie rivers much so I have no idea what was going on. I do know the rivers have been flooded for awhile and continue to rocket up with rain without much time to settle down. Thoughts on what it's done to the spawn? Maybe it will just be delayed rather than destroyed? Maybe they spawn in high water but in unusual areas? I have no idea and the thought just crossed my mind

Who ordered this #%$^&@#$%!! weather anyhow?

My plans to explore creeks KenG told me about have gone to shit. And next week more of the same. :(
Keep calm and fish on...

There's a fine line between fishing and just sitting there looking stupid
