Kept with the spirit of topwater that has been working pretty much every time I've been on the river this summer. Maybe I've moved too quickly in the past and this has always been the case, but fish have been stacked in stretches. I've basically just started at a quality spot and been walking downstream while casting to good-looking cover, breaks, or chutes. I didn't even bother wading today.
Lots of brown fish in the fastest current, as long as it was 18" deep or more, and some of their lazier green cousins in slower water.
