Continued the river theme this afternoon. Trying to learn the dupe when I got the time of off work. Hit up a park and got off the main trails to find some nice spots. Water was very clear. Kept with the swimbaits and caught one average largie (closest to trail) and two average sized smallies (farther from trails). Rest of the day I pushed as far downstream as I could with walking through a lot of water. Farther from the dirt trails was just dink after dink. Must have got atleast a dozen dink smallies. Most kept ripping up my paddle tail without setting the hook. The biggest smallmouth had two similar smallie buddies chasing him as I first set the hook. Cool to watch. Let the spot calm and came back and nothing biting there. Enjoying the time on this river system for sure!
