Daiwa Tatula

I'm fighting the urge to acquire yet another rod. Have my eye on a Daiwa Tatula spinning rod.

Does anyone have experience with these they can share?

I have the 7’ medium daiwa Tatula spinning rod it’s a awesome rod. The only thing I don’t like is the handel I like a little more under the reel. I have somewhat bigger hands. Other than that you can’t beat it.

They are pretty great. I have 7 mf and 76 mmlf. Both are awesome. I actually love the handle, one of the most comfortable spinning rod reel seats in my opinion.
I am willing to sell 76 mmlf but it is probably too long for your usual fishing. You can swing 1/8 oz jig with a paddle tail really far with it, but not the best for short distance ned rig work.

I bought the Tatula. Took it to Belleau yesterday to check it out. Paired it with my Daiwa Regal with 10 lb Floroclear.

All I can say is wow - this is a great rod. Really light, great action. One of the reviews I read the writer said he'd weighed a Tatula & it was lighter than similar Ducketts & Dobyns. I believe it.

And I find the handle very comfortable.

Didn't catch any fish yesterday but that will come.

Took it to the west branch of the Dupe yesterday. Caught a smallie & a 'gill on a buzzbait.

Probably the 1st 'gill I ever caught on a buzzbait. It's eyes were definitely bigger than it's stomach.
