Late on this one. Full summer pattern on the Dupe. Low water and clear, maybe 70cf/s. Eel grass bad in some sections of a long stretch I fished. Chunks came out to play though, 18", two 17ers, several in 15-16" range, plus shorts.
Hit the Kank early on Sunday until 12:30ish to beat most of the heat. Never been down there but a buddy who called me wanting to fish for cats the night before got my sheltered ass out. Very nice river and looked really healthy. Reminded me of a rocky version of the lower Wisconsin River. Buddy got a nice channel within a minute of setting his lines. Wet waded around with no idea of how to fish the river but managed a handful of dinks and a dink out of Rock Creek. Cf/s around 2100 and fairly clear. Definitely will be back after reading some of Norm's old posts.
