im bored. So whats the strangest thing u caught (non fish)

I've caught numerous things over the years... about five different rod and reel's, a leach bucket in bay de noc, a BMX bike at St Charly ... (I put it on the island), a few buckets. A Lift control cable thrown into the river a year before i found it... and I have witnesses to all...Paul

if it was desplaine river sounds like it fell from the bum condos under the bridges. they got a whole setup under them

I snagged a beaver this season on the fox!! Crazy fight. Luckily the hook popped out eventually.

On a small pond in Elburn I also caught a broken rod with only the first guide on it. There was about ten feet of 20lb test tied to the first guide and on the end was a tiny fly. Looked like a hobo's fishing combo LOL.

Hooked onto a very old reel on the fox and still plan on cleaning it to see if it works.

My dad hooked a dead frog while musky fishing on the chain o lakes.

When I was younger I had a seagul hit my rapala. It was running just under the surface and the seagul swung down and grabbed it. It started flying away and I opened my bail and let it take line. I realized my line was running out quickly so I shut my bail and the seagul stopped dead in it's tracks and the rapala came out. This was when I was about 10 so I didn't know what to do lol.

I'm sure there are others I'm missing. Fishing in a place like the fox you never know what you will pull up!

I just caught about a 10' long 2 X 4 at dam #2 on the Des Plaines a few days ago. :shock: I thought I had hooked into a huge fish, the way the lumber was turning in the current felt exactly like a fish! My heart was racing thinking I was pulling in the pike of a lifetime! :mrgreen:

I can't believe I actually landed the thing and got my lure back! :p

On Fox about 8 years ago. Me and my buddies go carp fishing for some reason...St Charles area. After great day of fishing I have another bite...very light so I just set the hook since they were biting really light that day. Seems like a really small carp going right and left in the water pulling some line, at this point IM SURE that's a fish. After about one minute fight what do i pull out of the water???? A voodoo doll with somebody's picture sawn to its chest...we just got a quick look at it since I got so freaked out by the whole thing..Burned the line with my lighter and we left as soon as possible. The scariest thing was that it was hooked by the dolls right hand...we never fished that area again. To this day we talk about that fishing day when we get together.

what if you found out that the person in picture actually drowned?

On a fishing trip in canada, I was fishing near the shore I casted out and somehow a baby bat flew into my fishing line. It took me by surprise because their was suddenly a lot of splashing when i finally reeled in it took like 20 mins to untangle it.
