Went fishing after work today from around 6-730pm in the usual spot. I forgot to bring my lures (all my catches have been on crankbait lures) and all I had were plastic worms of various colors and sizes that I have been using for about a month with ABSOLUTELY no result.

Was pitching 5 inch watermelon with bright yellow tip senso worms; texas rigged by some downed trees in the water with tree overhanging.

I got this guy on my 3rd pitch, he hit it as it was sinking. As you can see my line got wrapped in a tree branch and I couldn't get him loose. Eventually the branched snapped and he got away! He was big! I was thinking about going in the water and getting him as he hung there... Damnit.

Moved to another area with tree cover and downed logs/branches and started pitching my worm.

11 inch largemouth bass that I got working the worm slowly over a log in the water.

That was it for the day, ran out of line, ran out of that worm, and the mosquitoes were getting way too annoying.

... Someone has to show this guy proper fishing etiquette and non-bucket-try
I've always been practicing catch and release since I started fishing recently, I made a terrible mistake the one time. Lesson learned.
hey bud if you kept a legal fish no one has the right to say no! keep eating bass if that's your thing! just know the regs!!
