Up north by Geneva there were ponds with two-ish inches over the weekend. Also a lot of creeks were froze. Delavan launch channel was mostly covered. I walked out about 50 feet. A lot of smaller lakes were thinly iced over. Its a little warm today, but its supposed to drop back down tonight. 8)

Broke through a bit over 1" of solid ice at the launch in Kenosha Harbor Sunday morning.

The ice took out a tail light on my trailer, but the boat escaped unscathed.

Fishing was epic.

Epic means slow and unproductive, right?

I was fishing by the Best Western Inn rocks from 9:15 til 11:30 on Sunday also. I scoped out the area and saw all the top ice by the launch area and into the marina aways. My fishing was epic too - nada. Tried pearl white tube jig with waxies on and casted several spoons. LZ

OK...with the Fox News weather forecast over the next 10 days, this weekend's ice might still be iffy, BUT, starting Monday, highs for the day will be around 25-27 degrees and lows in the teens. I'd think ice the weekend of the 11th and 12th will be easily in the 3-4 inch range. Get your sh-t together and ready to GO! :D LZ
