Today I went pond hopping for about 4 hours out in Vernon Hills. I was on my way to one of my secret ponds and I ended up passing a place I hadn't fished in awhile. I figured I would give it a try and see if the flick shake would produce again. In 15 minutes I had my answer. I caught two really small bass, but it was better than the skunk and it furthered my belief in the flick shake technique. I went to about 3 other ponds in the area with no bites. I tried throwing a fire tiger 1-minus, chartreuse spinnerbait and a redeye shad with no results. Hopefully, the weather will start to get more consistent, so I can get out and find some big guys.

Here's a pic. Even though he's little, he's got some great color.

Well, the only fish I've caught so far this Spring have been on a cinnamon wacky rigged flick shake. When I use it, I tend to give it a lot more action than I would give to any other worm. In my opinion that's what seems to differentiate this bait. Good luck out there!

Nice Job Tmoney! Hey you got out and you didn't get skunked. I have a bunch of flick shakes but it hasn't yet been one of my 'go to' baits though I hear some people say its the greatest. Any suggestions?

The give me them great action and are somewhat weedless. I've never had any issues with the hooks either. My favorite flick shake color is Camo
