They are still making a profit at $150. Not much, but they aren't losing money that's for sure.
That is a good price, and any St. Croix fan would need to be silly or broke to pass on it.
Just to play devil's advocate here... I bet I could build you a rod at half that price that would feel 99.9% identical to the St. Croix. (and I'd still make a few bucks for myself)

Send them over Hoff. I can't promise a price till I know the specs, but I have built 4 really nice rods in the last 3 years made from quality components that would have rivaled anything St. Croix, Fenwick, Falcon, or G. Loomis has to offer for under $100.
