The Quickset: I picked up a set of these last summer, and wanted to post a review of the product.

Video explaining use:
I used these off and on last summer with positive results. The one modification I made, Is that I removed the single plastic line pickup pin (I just knew that I would eventually loose it), and replaced it with three harbor freight aluminum pop rivets that just happened to fit in place perfectly. "See pic below".
Basically the product has three sensitivity settings, and works as advertised. I don't think I'd want to use this product on a nicer graphite rod, But feel comfortable using them on my glass rods. (Cabelas Whupping stick, Ugly Stick...etc..... )
The reason I fist purchased the product is that when I head out to the IL river, I often leave my rods unattended while I mow the lawn, and work on miscellaneous tasks. It would always sicken me when I walked up to my rod, and found that a fish swallowed the hook due to my lack of attentiveness. This happened more often that I'd like, particularly with the drums. When I first found this product, I was excited to give it a try. In my case, when I noticed that the rod was not bent over, (Just guessing here, did not keep actual stats) 70-80% of the time, there was a fish on the other end. Id also use a bell along with the Quickset to help notify me when they went off.
My Results for the season: Absolutely "0" swallowed hooks this last summer while using this product. Occasionally the current will set it off, but not very often. I guess others results would vary depending on how much current is in the area you are fishing. I also caught more fish per cast, than I did when not using this product.
Next summer I'm going to experiment with placing a key chain ring though the framing of the rods top line guide, this way I wont have to place the products plastic hook though the the same ring the line goes though.
I'm going to give this product a  , maybe even two
I think it's a nice inexpensive toy to add to the tacklebox.
