Lake Glenview re-opens on Sunday April 15th (according to their posted signs from last fall) and I for one will be there! my "Oh goody goody!" factor is high as I did pretty well there over the course of the year. With any luck, and persistence, I will find the big girls. Good Luck!

I'm a total knob-head... My son and I were out there on Saturday and as we were leaving, I saw the new signage everywhere indicating that the season would open on the 15th. Looking around, from the south shore, i saw at least 3 or 4 other people who obviously hadn't seen the signs either.

Lake Glenview is fun and convenient. You know - for the kids.

I noticed that they moved the season up to start April 15th which I think is good news. I'm not optimistic about this Sunday though. Lake Glenview is a drainage lake and visibility drops to 0 quickly after good rains. If you couple that with cold weather, then you get tough conditions.

I'll admit, during some of our warm ups this springs, I thought about not noticing the signs but figured it wasn't worth the hassle.

My buddy and I were out there on yesterday. Definitely didn't see the signs about being closed. We did catch 6 fish. 2 on a shallow diving crank bait casting parallel with the shore line about 5-6 feet from the shore. The other 4 were caught on chartreuse spinner baits and senkos. The water temp seemed pretty cold and we even saw a few fish in the water. We put baits right in front of their noses but they wouldn't bite.
