I have to apologize for not posting this sooner, but I finally got the pics from my brother-in-law tonight when I was over at his house. This is the big smallie that I caught up in Door County 4 weeks ago during the Wisconsin opener. I was jigging the bottom with a 3/8 oz jig tipped with a small twister tail. When I hooked this fish at first I thought it was a northern because that is what it felt like and also everyone around us was catching them at the time. When I finally saw the fish coming to the surface I saw what it was and got it into the boat as fast as possible. It went 4.5 pounds and is my personal best. Yes, it was a female that was full of eggs. This was the only smallie that I caught that day.
