Well, Today's an interesting tale. Nothing compared to whats coming this weekend. But till then this shall do :)

I started my Work morning mostly gathering all the Worms and worm hooks I could Find with intentions of hitting a Crystal Clear Dupage County Lake. During the job I happened to catch a glimpse on my Phones Maps of a Lake near the new place I have yet to Move in yet. I figured what the hey, Lets make it a Day. I set out on the Road 5:05pm on my way to... Really I haven't a clue. But very Excited! After settled and Walking the Clean landscape of a Beautiful Forest Preserve I almost forget to Fish as I'm in awe of Dupage County Beauty. Half way around the Lake I decide to stop and start Casting, Upon walking up to the waters Edge I had the most disgust look on my Face. As this water was LITERALLY the Opposite of What I prepared for. Stained , Stained, STAINED Green. I take a glimpse in the small bag I carry along with me... And Luckily I am somewhat prepared.. I guess.

I start with a Spinner Bait, More Flash for dat ass...

I Mean BAss.

And pick up this guy near one of the Lakes few Curves along the Banks. I didn't feel anything ahead of time, And Literally dropped Spinner Bait, Almost where I stood as I was pre-occupied and this guy sucked me right up out the MUD.

OH SO SWEET.

Now that the hardest ones out the Way, I cover more Water. Aimlessly strutting The empty Banks trying to Find the Lifesource that comes in Green, sporting a Big Ole Mouth.. I end up Losing not my Spinner Bait. But just the Skirt. Don't Ask me, Ive never had that happen to me. Then decide to toss on a Shallow FAT A 4 FT diver. I end up finally getting an opportunity after Bumping some Rocks along the bottom for my Lure to completely STOP.

Wham, BAM, Thank you Mam.

I continued to Work hard for these Fish, Casting, and casting. Eventually in a cornered off section of the Lake I hear some noises in the Bushes.. All of a Sudden a small SKUNK storms out the Brush ASS Backwards on me at all times like a some sort of City Boy Seeking devise. I tossed my pliers near it to get it going in the opposite direction since i was cornered in the Water. Instantly he started retreating, And I ran for my Camera. By the time I got to the skunk he was seconds from disappearing into some other Brush, So i snapped the best shot as proof I could. :)

First encounter with a Skunk. And he seemed pretty territorial, on the OFFENSIVE!

Until he Felt the Wrath!

Overall two bass and Lord knows how many Cast I'm only reporting this Skunk ^ :) Fun outing

Thanks For Your Time

Happy Fishing

Nice read Geo! I agree the dupage fp are very pretty. Kind of neat running into that skunk. I rarely see them unless its road kill then usually I smell them first.
