Crappie at Deep Lake

If the crappie are beginning to spawn on the Chain of Lakes, are they active on Deep Lake yet?

I've never caught too many crappie on Deep Lake, but I have heard "fishing rumors" from the nearby baitshop and from Jack of "Jack and Lydia's".

Rumors of a crappie fishermen that catches bunches of crappie at certain times of the year.

Has anyone ever done well with crappie at Deep Lake? Do the crappie ever spawn at Deep Lake like the bluegill do?

Culprit is right. I remember a time many years ago where crappie were abundant in Deep Lake. But over the past few years i've only accidentally run into a few. Of course, i've not specifically targeted them.

I remember seeing a stringer of 30 plus crappie last year in the spring during a non-WCF tourney. They're in there for sure: finding and catching them is something else though.
