Can someone please help me with a measurement

Hey,
So with my luck I catch my biggest Muskie ever (and my first one) and the only measuring tape we had fell off the boat. Any of you educated fishing guys think you can give me a good estimate on how long it is. My friend says 40" I think it might hit 45".

Thank you Kris. As for why I scribbled out my face. I'm 17 and this is an online message board anyone in the world could see. I've been on WCF for awhile but haven't posted in a bit. Just taking precaution no offense to anyone.

Nice fish! I would say its a under 40 by the pic. I agree with Catchafew muskies dont come easy (ask me how i Know) in fact I was at the Salmon Shop the other day and the owner told me in his 50yrs fishing he had only caught one 34" muskie.

Haha so true. There's a reason it's called the fish of 10,000 casts. Muskie fishing will test your true patients, but when executed correctly, it's a payoff. Those fish cause more heart breaks than smiles. Great fish tho.

I'm 15 and got my first ski this spring , been on the hunt quite a few times this year and haven't seen another since, surprised that Jim from the salmon shop hasn't gotten more, I've talked to him about fishing the kish and dpr when he was my age a few times and he tells some good stories.
