Yes, Fog! And lots of it. Today I headed to fish Busse lake in the kayak. Ive been Shore bound for quite some time with the arrival of my new son. :) Its always fun when I come back home to busse but this was amazing creepy fogg so fitting for me ;) Yesturday evening I kinda chuckled prepping for todays outing. Normally 4-6lb test small lures mostly jigs with slow approaches. But were so mild I opted for a 1/2oz jig a smaller two hook road runner and a lucky craft fat cb sb wide action crankbait. Diving depth of three feet. I found a decent 5foot deep stretch that slowly rised to 3ft flat that i could feel w jig. I anchored and started casting it wasnt long when the fish told me what they wanted. The luckycraft few cast in bam! A solid fish. I continued to the tune of 5 landed mostly small guys and 2 misses under the boat. All fish hit headfirst and werent playing. The strikes were fierce the fights werent impressive. Id guesstimate water in the low to mid forties. I was using a 7'2" M baitcasting rod and 30lb powerpro tied to the lucky craft.

Even in the harshes of winters i dont use live bait. But i havent had fun in december usin summer like crankin outside of the chi river since the mild 2006 winter. So cant beat it :)

So get up, Get out and go cast a few lures!!

Congratulations Geo on the new little addition to the family. Must be nice to get on the water after that big sigh from the successful birth.

Zen - My first son I took the whole season off not one outing. This time I maintained the consistency while building up pictures. I have months of outings just waiting to be published on instagram :) Thats how im able to post 1-6 pictures a day. Ive been maintaining my teeth and beef. - pics below- Thank u dude father first angler second. :) cant wait to wet lines again with ya again.

Lmao.. only you auxy. Blast from the past! This was a flashback to a ttime wcf members led me to beleive the only way to catch fish at the wwd was through live bait. Even held live baitwinter tournaments. I mean these were wcfers! Of coarse i beleived them..lol, that my second time there. Quickly i learned that was total bullshit. Maybe a lack of commitment no patience and perhaps many insecurities but that was the last time i tossed live bait there. How can anyone set themselves to such a lazy low standard and actually beleive its ok? And think thats all the fish will eat Haha Never!! Since, ive been tearing the place a part with only artifials. All species too you do not ever, ever need live bait . Beleive in yourself and never beleive what you read just what you see! Id never advise you to fish anyway specific, auxy thats skiis thing. Dont put your skunks on me thats 100% your effort and. Drive :) I cant recall what they feel like. ;) I put a lot in to maintain consistency.

Get up get out! Go make some cast before old man winter eventually does show. Fish are huuungry. I barely post but wanted to show you yeah its december... But what does that mean?.... exactly nothing. Only skills required are casting reeling and occasional pauses... pretty simple.

Get em!
