As I keep looking for a new swimbait for this year I came across the new Tru-Life Swimbaits from tru-tungsten. They look great from any demo I can find online but so do all the other lures on TV or Youtube... plus they can be weighted a few different ways which would be a plus. Just wondering if any of you guys would have actually used one yet, the 4" model that came out a few weeks ago seems perfect for bass around here and the 7" bluegill would be killer on pike and musky if they really do work well. So what do you guys think about these new lures?

And I used correct punctuation and capital letters for all you grammar phanatics on here these days ;)

Just watch this vid and tell me what you think ;)

I am addicted!!!!

Who in their mind would Ollie-oop these bass into their boats!!! LOL

It's down south fishing, but the vid gets me hooked!!!

These swimbaits are different, but I think you get the point on swimbaits ;) They are kickass!!!

Oh I know that big bass can be caught on swimbaits... I had a 3 lb hit on Twin on an 8" swimmin joe last summer and really have never had a swimbait that did not catch big fish, partly because the baits themselves are so big. Thats why I am looking for something smaller that would work here all the time. Remember this is not California lol and much as we can dream we will never catch fish like that consistently around here. The Storm Kickin Minnow looks great in the water but even bass can destroy them after just one fight. That's why these seemed so good since they are hard plastic and only $20 a piece they're not a bad deal.

BUT GREAT VIDEO! REALLY FUN TO WATCH :)

My favorite swimbaits last year were the Sebile Magic Swimmer 125. They're only 125mm. By far the best I've ever used. The Ondu Spoon is my 2009 lure that I will try to use. It's a plastic spoon with rows of rattles in it. I only was able to get 4 different colors to experiment with. I've had consistent success with the Spro BBZ and Triple Trout as well.

i use one and they are great for pike, but i can use a storm kicking minnow and get the same results. I used it on Delavan and nailed the pike. My dad got better results on the kickin minnow. This is not the Cal Delta or lake falcon in texas
