2016 Annual Des Plaines River Floatilla - Aftermath (pics)

I was looking forward to this year's floatilla after having a great time last year but unfortunately I have a schedule conflict and can't make it this time. Kids have a preschool picnic that supersedes the pike.

Always have fun at this event, always fun seeing new faces and old. Good fishing, good company and good eats! Brought my buddy Tom along, whos not really a fisherman but hes a pro drinker so i thought he would have a good time. So happy he got on a fish and i know he missed another. Thanks to all who participated and brought food, thanks auxy for the banana boat to.

Was great to see everyone and meet some new people. Had a blast! I'm pretty sure everyone landed at least one fish, with most getting more. Thanks to everyone who brought food & beverages. It was most appreciated after the long float. Here's a few pictures I have:

Here's an ambitious bass who hit a buzzbait that was about three quarters his size.

Right after the last damn, I had a fish miss my buzzbait 3 times before I finally nabbed him. 25"
