With the cold weather slowly approaching most of us anglers start to transition to hard water fishing season. Prepping for me usually begins during Thanksgiving Break with stripping of all line off my reels and shipping to be cleaned. Organizing plastics and ordering what needs replacement with the Black Friday Sale from TW.
Gonna start prepping the ice gear this weekend. Hoping for a super nasty cold spell and hoping to hit some decent ice by January. That being said I hope to get at least 4 good outings via WCF members this year. Hoping to take suggestions and the lake / body of water with the most votes will be listed as the final event. Typically I get out to these lake requently to check on conditions prior to an event.
This is not a major compeition but more of an outing for most of us to get out and fish together. Usually BBQ / grill on the lake and overall have a great time. If you interested comment on this thread with any questions.
My hope is to have a 40+ pike caught this year. I'll be trying out the $1 suckers or biggest I can find for bait this year may even try one of this fizzing bait ball things I saw on tv which I would assume would work perfect through the ice.
Events are as listed:
1. Sand Lake
2. Deep Lake
3. Busse Woods
4. TBD via suggestions
