got out to the dpr with afalconsvick and skunkmaster. Met up by irving and river. Went to walmart before spent 30 dollars on lures. Water was a little higher than yesterday. Lost all 30 dollars worth of lures no bites between all of us. Skunkmaster caught a crayfish, I think im going to start fishing more north in the river. Five guys were walking down the path and one was holding a baseball bat. I was ready for battle I puffed out my chest and set my drag was ready to rumble. They just walked by so no problems. Im glad afalconvick and skunkmaster seen this weird stuff because people think im lying about the weird stuff I see in the woods. Im really getting frustrated with the river in april I was getting pike at this spot but cannot land one. If anyone can please help me with advice or tips. Want to go back tomorrow. If anyone wants to meet up let me know. And if anyone has waders they can go there and find a jackpot of lures about 20 feet out :mrgreen:

I will go tomorrow just let me know when. There are some crazy weird things in the woods. We're due to catch something sooner or later so we have to keep trying. Here is a pic of our catch:

I have yet to catch a single fish this year 
But I seem to have luck catching anything but fish (Frogs, Turtles, Craws, Branches). It was still fun though. Seeing those kids with the bat made me feel uneasy :/ I think we intimidated them though because they did not say anything to us. Haha. Would like to go to the DPR at night with a larger group though so we don't get killed.

dont worry man you will catch a fish! I was fun those guys didnt mess with us because I look like a serial killer with my giant knife hanging on my side ans camo pants and boots haha. You guys are lucky you are young and can run if you have too Im stuck im an old man :mrgreen:

hey whats up man i should be there around 6pm. if your coming from desplaines take river down to irving make a left. about 50 yards there will be a parking lot on your right. We park there. Let us know if you wanna meet the more people the better!

IRving and River was my fav spot on the dpr, though i have fished a few others. Last summer i caught 4 pike all 4 outings all off buzz baits. Dont even think about casting a crank or spinner in that area. I dunno why the pike were no biting, i got skunked this year over there kinda upset.
