boat launch open?

Anybody know whether the boat launch is roped off at Beck or is it open? I was at Big Bend a couple weeks ago and the launch was roped off, leading to a longer portage than I prefer. Hoping to avoid the same at Beck. Thanks

It wasn't a couple of weeks ago. I'll see if I can drive by and take a look. BTW, Big Bend is completely closed right now because of flooding. In fact, Gold Road is closed west of 294 and east of River Road.

Doesn't much matter if the launch is open. You could park near it & put your boat in near it. If the launch is closed it doesn't mean you can't put a boat in the lake.

It's open. I kayaked there a couple weeks ago and there were 2 or 3 boats on the water.

Today I had some errands in the area and wanted to swing by and take a look, but Central was closed at River Road.

I was there a few days last week and it was always open. Beck has actually looked more crowded than usual the last couple of weeks. Go figure. Good luck! I'm planning on heading there this evening, haven't had much luck so far this year.
