I got a few small mouths only got a picture of 1 because my camera didnt have any battery juice left when we got there.that was kinda disappointing to say the lest. but here are some pictures from the second day.we did some shore and some boat fishing.

Looks like the Rock Quary paid off for fishing. They tend to have nice smallies in the little inlet at the launch and the Pike off the deep edge with deep divers always work. Nice fat pike. Did you keep it or release it?

Lol thats exactly where I was at this weekend! My uncle went a little off course and brought me to what seemed like a very hidden dam, with people wading and such. but it was so beautiful, everyone color you could imagine going down this river, it looked like a postcard! Potwatomi is also gorgeous this time of year!

The last I heard, the fishing had slowed way down due to the weather and windy conditions making it more difficult to get out in a boat. I am heading up there this weekend as well to do a lot of work, but hopefully get the boat out one more time.

I'm leaving for Door county on the 23rd. Heading straight for Sister Bay, Ellison Bay,Gills Rock and Washington Island. Can't wait to whack some smallies. Trying out my new jig I designed. The giants should be in by now.

I know in spring time you can catch them well into 6lbs, close to 7lb.
Gotcha.

The water I fish had a 6 lb 13 oz (weighed on a certified scale) caught two summers ago in July. Plenty of 5s and some 6s too throughout July. Looking forward to getting up there next June. Good luck.
