Looks like that Rockwell 20v only has 530inlbs of torque, obviously it depends on the auger size and other variables, but people recommend using a drill with 800+in/lbs of torque for drilling holes.
I've been drilling with 450inlbs (no, not my personal weight) and have had zero problems in over 12 years with over 30+ outings per seasons drilling ice up to 18" thick.

That's a good question and I have to admit I prefer either Makita or Dewalt. Depends of course on the model and use. I lean mostly toward the DEWALT DCK240C2 20v Lithium Drill Driver/Impact Combo Kit as it combines a lot of futures that I find optimal for furniture work. There are times when you have to go deeper into drilling shelves and the Led lights are my absolute favorite part that makes it a game-winner! Many argue that Makita has the best impact driver, but the model they have comes with attachment kits that I don't really need.

What is Cowalt?? :?: :?:  You blew yourself up as a phony on your first post.

Go back to your Winnie the Poo and Cuddly Bunnies forums and leave the tool talk to the real men and women here.

I got an Eskimo 6" a couple weeks ago...I have a PC 20v max with like 1400 lbs torque. It will do like 20-25 holes per charge...it works great. It goes right through the 6" of ice I'm on...I previously used a Lazer 6" or a 8" Jiffy gas op but I love that Eskimo. Do alot of hopping so the light weight and compact of it is ideal. And on that note it's time to head out...
