This was the worst week for me in the entire season. Went to the pond, got skunked. Tried the river, got one, but had to quit early as fishing was tough, and managing the current even tougher. Went to another pond, got skunked again, not so much as a strike. First two solid skunks for the entire year. It sucked.

At least you were consistent!
:( I visited one of those ponds again since then for a couple of hours. Saw seven other guys which has got to be a record of some sort. Did not catch anything but at least now I know that they sit in on the bottom, in the weeds, and you need to punch to get to them. I can't wait for the temps to drop.

Keep waiting...another string of 80's inbound.

I get a kick out of my wife saying it's "never" hot in September and October. Our Twin lakes trip I talked about earlier is this weekend and she had little dude's clothes all packed already (Type-A planner, if you're not packed a week in advance she panics). Jeans, Longsleeves, Hoodies & Jackets etc. Now the forecast is calling for 80 all weekend. Way to go, babe. Not like I'm an outdoorsman or anything

It's not about the fish. It's the aesthetics of the experience that counts.
That is Rambler's motivation.

We had a thread some years back, I think the title was "Why I Fish..."
Not sure how much we will discuss motivation now, that is more of a winter weather discussion, sit by the fire, sip adult beverage, when most of us don't fish outside.
