This weekend I tied on a Strike King Bitsy Bug mini jig head ( orange and olive rubber bands). I'm not sure if I discovered a new go to jig head but using that with a 4 inch Keritech swim bait produced a few fish for me other than the one or none that I've been recently producing. It seemed to cut through the bottom weeds nicely and my retrievals weren't producing as much pond salad. More testing needed this week before I claim it as my new go to jig head combination.

RA8Point, I have been using that jig for the past two years now, in the river and local ponds and at my club. Hands down, when the fish are over-pressured or just plain stubborn it's one of my go-to baits. I use a Yum Craw Chunk https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/yum-craw-chunk as a trailer. Depending on how high the submerged weeds are, I rip the rod tip straight up, 2 to 2-1/2 feet up and then let it sit on the bottom for 6, 8 seconds. If they don't inhale it, usually you can feel them try to swim off with it.

Keitech swing impacts are by far the best producing plastics in my bag. Durability sucks. Tails rip off way too easily for the price they charge but I don't mind as long as they are catching bass. Got a few strike king bitsy bugs but haven't used them too much. The hooks look not so great but seems to be working well for you guys.

I did tried using the same setup again last night since I was already rigged for it. I caught 2 lost one nice one and missed a hook set. Who knows I might of just found a new kool aid flavor that I enjoy drinking for now. An interesting note. Both fish that I landed were a rod length from shore. They seemed to be following it and not just a reaction strike.

Pretty hilarious when I clicked the link to bass pro I had to verify that I was over 18 years old like I was entering some other type of website;)
It's firewalled at my work because of guns 🙄

This forum was firewalled for years as well. Didn't give a reason. Recently checked and found out it's no longer blocked.
