After getting skunked in the morning @ Twin Lakes, stopped @ Busse before I went to work. Worked shoreline on main pool. One word - WINDY - only thing I caught was a tree branch. Throwing lures was like trying to fly a kite. Going to Axhead tomorrow morning (if I can get out of bed). Hopefully I won't get the skunk trifecta.

I actually caught my first ever legal sized (barely) walleye under the dam before I headed to Lee's for the fishing show. Surprised I kept him hooked because I thought it was a snag and kept shaking the rod back and forth. Caught him on a 4" Mister Twister G-Grub with a small piece of crawler and bounced it off the bottom. Not a single tap after.

Thanks Doc. I've only managed a couple of small guys before over by the fishing wall. They looked like really big perch w/o the stripes. :roll:

Under the main dam can be a great walleye spot. During spring, a jig and minnow or a lindy-rigged minnow can be very productive. And working as early and late as possible is really the key too.
