Did a float in one of my regular spots, mostly because I know it to be obstruction-free and this is the time of year I start trying to minimize the amount of time I spend wading in sandals. Bite was better than what's been typical this season, but concentrated in certain spots and was mostly largemouth. I don't remember the last time I caught so many of them in DPR. There were a few smallies, but few and far in between and all on the dinky side. Ned craw ruled the day and in addition to bass brought in one small pike, a sunfish, and a fat 9" rock bass. I also ran into a very dead 8-point buck. That's a second dead and mostly eaten deer I I've seen in that general area recently, either they are having bad luck or someone's been hunting.
