Nothing on the river is a big secret unless you have to walk the deer trails and hop in the water in the middle of the woods.... Anything near a bridge or dam, with pathways, pretty much gets hammered all the time. Anything in an urban area or in a developed city area, gets hammered as well. It just depends on the weather and what day of the week it is. Most people fish during the day on the weekends, when it's nice out. People that want to protect "their spots" at all costs are pretty hilarious, when those spots are completely obvious to anyone that looks at google maps... I coud list about 30 spots from Algonquin on down to Montgomery that are probably just as good as any other "honey hole". You can even tell relative water depth from looking at google maps.
Those that are especially funny, are those that want pictures blacked out, that ONLY show landmarks you could see if you're standing in the middle of the river.   ANYONE THAT CAN RECOGNIZE SAID LANDMARKS FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE RIVER, IS ALREADY FISHING THAT AREA, AND HAS PROBABLY FISHED IT MANY TIMES BEFORE.
