It's been a long winter but my rivers are finally getting in shape. Should be in full swing maybe next weekend or two but each year is different with strong, long smallie runs or short ones, we shall see.

As much as I talk up tubes when it's tough going in the early season 3" grubs (1/8oz jig head) get tied on first.

Brooke was caught at the same spot in late April, smallie today and lost a small musky on spinning rod.

I'm not sure if I'm going to hit it hard this year as I have a lot going on at the moment.
