Ok boys and girls...we have a date!! Sept. 30th it is. Please post on this thread if you're going to attend and also post what you intend on bringing to the bbq. Fishing will be between 6am - 12pm with bbq to follow. It should be an awesome time. Bring your family and friends and let's cap off 2006 with a bang!!!

Now, are we all agreed on the format of this event?

1. fishing from 6-12pm
2. no rod restrictions as long as only 1 line in the water per angler
3. no restrictions on electronics
4. first $100 will go toward picnicing fees and wcf goodies
(picnicing is $15 per car but i'm sure we can work something out with jack)
5. remaining entry fees will be 60/40. total 5 fish length 60% and big fish %40 of the pot.
6. only bass counts. no other fish allowed.
7. no live bait
8. this is not a team event. individual winnings.
9. no partner draw. you pick your partner. if you don't have one, let us know.
10. THIS IS AN HONOR SYSTEM TOURNEY. raise your right hand and place your left hand on your monitor with wcf up on screen and swear that you will not falsify any information, lie, cheat, steal, get angry at the judging, throw a tantrum if you don't win, push your partner into the lake if they mishandled a net job, yada yada yada.

Did I forget anything else??? Let me know.

im in maybe also with my wife if not i will need a partner
so if you need a partner augy im in
i'll bring some beer, pop, and chips
i think we should start at 6:00a.m. even if it is dark
thats when the topwater gets going and we start using
black buzz baits and black poppers bass can still notice
those big time in the dark sometimes the darker the
better. :D

IMO I believe pounds should be per boat and not individual less of a chance of people passing fish to one another.
what the partners do with the winnings is up to them. they can split or if 1 of them actually did have the most pounds then they can keep the $ thats between them.

14" limit is fine(measure on the boat before bringing in) I think for the sake of arugment.(bad photos and such)..... String'em(the good ones) and have a length/weight in at the scale ......boat by boat at the dock(they have a scale right there) at 12:15pm

all boats in by 12:15pm.

That way we can "all" see the results of the day
(fans/family members cheering)... :D ...then quickly get the qualifers back in the lake

At best we may see 5 to 7 "good" qualifers?

Winners get the cash(and WCF fame) Big fish get to swim back in the lake

just a thought!!!!

(I have draged a few bass around for 1/2 day... and they fair just fine)

I can bring a new gas can full of mix who is to say it's gas and oil....
i prefer whiskey or scotch mike! or how about some long island mix. keke.

and again, how about the kids and wives $10 entry fee? i know it's a few weeks away but i don't want to procrastinate and scramble to organize the day before we head out.

I've kinda kept quiet and have been watching everyone's input on the details.

Some thoughts...

Not crazy about the stringer thing, but can work with it.

Not crazy about the different "entry" fees, but again, can work with it.

Having an "official" weigh-in or measurment procedure is gonna be tough.

Basically, I want this to be as FUN as possible - with every WCF member and their families talking about it for years to come.

I'd REALLY like this to be LESS about the money and MORE about having a good time with a little incentive.

Perhaps we can stick with the honor system and prizes go to biggest fish (length) and best length of 5 biggest fish over 14" - a 60/40 split.

We'll wind up learing a lot about the first WCF Fall Classic and there will no doubt be problems. Let's make the possibility for problems as little as possible.

Keep the ideas coming! Let's have something concrete by this weekend.
