Weather was way too nice to not get out yesterday so I cancelled my Physical Therapy appointment & declined an all-expenses paid outing to Chicago Indoor Racing.
The target again was muskie (or pike). I was disappointed to find both McHenry County FP sites I travelled to with gates closed, as well as the Lake County FP site I wanted to try. Finally decided to park where I could at the Lake County site and hike it to the river, which left me with only 30 minutes to fish. Threw a large X-Rap & Double Showgirl. No takers, though I did have a snake of a pike try attacking the Showgirl at shore but he didn't return. Felt good to fire a few casts in short sleeves. May not get out again today, but regardless of weather I'll be back at least once this weekend.
