I took another pre-work fishing fix this morning. The wind was gusting at about 20 mph from the north. I worked the west shore which seems to drop off into pretty deep water. The fish looked fairly active from the surface. In about an hour I was able to land 5 nice sized MLBs. They were all hugging the submerged rip rap. I was throwing my newly purchased Firetiger Fat Rap. This has become one of my favorite lures because it does not dive too deep. This works well in many of our shallow pond and lakes. The funny thing about fishing Arlington is that the folks on the walking path are always amazed when you land good sized sport fish. Invariably I'll hear comments like "did you just catch that in there?" My reply... "No I brought it from home just so I could impress you."
