Last year my most successful month of the seaaon at Beck was May. Today was the first trip out on the kayak for the year. Still not great temps but just 5 mph winds made it a no brainer.

55 & cloudy. Quite a few shore fishermen and a few other boats were out too.

Threw a spinner and chatterbait for a while with no luck. Picked up one on a lipless craw and the other on a 4in senko. Both off the north side of the island. Nothing of size for the 1st outing, but felt good to be back out there finally.

Nice to see some catches at Beck! I've pounded the usual shorelines my past times out with spinners/chatters and 5ich senkos with no evidence of fish being present/active... these temperatures are killin' me.

Good luck and keep at it!
