If the bass was hooked and then the hook stuck the musky in the throat it wont be able to swallow that bass.
I`m guessing he had to cut the line ? :?

I was just thinking...the state record out of Shabbona is 37 pounds...this wouldn't be too far off if his measurement was correct. I'm thinkin' it was a bit shorter than 50 inches. Still, that's a monster for that body of water.

i went back and looked at the pic again... it is a nice fish for around here... but i really dont think its a 50 incher... maybe more around 42-46... just my thoughts... unless that guy holdin it is 7 ft tall it isnt a 50

However big, it is a really nice fish, although probably overestimated in size. Same with the bass...... That is what makes great fish stories
