After fishing the disgustingly slow lake opeka, I decided to fish the des plaines river from 9am to 11am. The first spot i tried was the des plaines dam, near downtown. The result nothing. Then i headed on over to the touhy stretch. The bride was under constrition so i tried the dam. Nothing, but like always, scenic. Some spots i was suprised had no fish in them, there were some really good spots on the touhy section. Then i headed on over to the devon dam. Skunked there too! Was going to go to the higgins area but then two forest persvere cops stopped me in the woods. They told me to move my car, and checked my liscense. Latley I feel the DPR is a gamble. Is the fishing always this inconstint? Do the fish move miles to new spots? or are they just not biting? thanks :?:

Ever the defender of justice; Where were you parked that they could tell you to leave. I have been asked to show my license to one of them. He could barely read the license and didn't know what a trout stamp was. Don't get me wrong most of those guys are pretty nice, but if its the one I think it is, he really thinks he's a law enforcement official.
