anyone up for some deep lake tomorrow morning i'm hooked after fighting with that killer 17.5" and seeing Jason fight with his 20" makes me want to go again. If not i will be at the glen at 5:00a.m.

Tony, those fish we battled today were awesome! THAT is what fishing is all about.
If I were you, i'd just go to Deep Lake by yourself. Maybe you can get on a 18-19" bass at Glen, but the possibility for a 20+ certainly exists at Deep Lake. And like I said, some dude caught an 8 pounder at Deep a few weeks ago. Imagine that. An 8 f**king pound bass!!!

Bassman for life (Dino) and I most likely will be heading out to deep.
We went to Deep today caught some fish nothing to brag about our biggest was 14"

Aris... I was so f**king pissed and depressed on Saturday when everyone else was catching fish except for me. At 9:30am I told Tony that if I didn't catch anything by 10:15am, I was gonna call it quits and head home. I had already thrown in the towel.
Well I certainly learned my lesson about a half-hour later when that 20 incher ended up in the boat!
I guess i'm saying that we ALL SUCK at fishing sometimes. But it isn't always our fault - fishing is a lifetime of learning, not just catching. And that's exactly why I have this site.

Jason I was jus thinking, and thought that all these pictures of giant fish on the webpage caught out of Deep Lake by WCF may end up ruining it for us when ppl online see all the photos then head out increasing the fishing pressure out there.. Hope this doesn't happen, lol it'd break my heart........... then again atleast we have each other here on WCF to help each other out to catch more and better fish (a very big advantage). Just my selfish rant before I go to sleep...hah hah 8)

jason i do the same thing last year my dad and i were fishing waukegan harbor and we werent seeing anything, so i was getting bored and kinda messin around then wham i got a 15lb king
dude, i feel you man but you gotta just relax and enjoy being out on the water with your friends. if you catch fish, great, a nice bonus. it's about the camaraderie bro. i would of been really disapointed if you had bailed on tony to fish alone and the entire group because your were pissed you weren't cathing squat. good learning experience for all of us. you never know when that lunker could hit your lure. it's that hope that keeps me fishing til i drop.JasonN said:Aris... I know. I probably wasn't gonna bail. I was just being pissy. But you're right... fishing is about MUCH more than just the fish, like you say - it's the experience.
