6:30-7:30 south pool. slight drizzle. i walked trolled a rapala j-5 along the south pool wall hooked into a nice 15" bucketmouth. rain picked up and called it quits.

btw, there were a couple kids by the southend of the pool with what looked like 7 or 8 lines out with baseball sized reb/white bobbers. i told one of the kids they are allowed one line per person and he just said, it's my dads. but dad was nowhere to be found. later as i walked back to my car, sure enough, dad and kids with all 8 lines out fishing in the rain.

I can't believe that they had that many lines in the water. Like they were really going to be able to see the light-biters with those big bobbers to boot!

Hey, what's the matter with dentists? :x

This is probably getting a little off topic, but last time I went for a scaling, my dentist totally butchered my mouth. My gums were sore for 2 entire days. Needless to say, I switched to someone else.

Phil: hope you had a more routine visit.
Toothdoc: there's nothing wrong with dentists if they don't draw too much blood

Fan, sorry to hear about your bad experience. But don't let a few bad apples ruin the whole bunch. As a profession, we try to do what is best for our patients. It is just that some of us are better at that than others.

My visit wasn't so great...I had to go to a gum specialist because the gums over one of my teeth is a little red. As soon as that dentist saw it, he's like, uh, yeah we're going to have to cut that part of your gum off to make sure that there isn't something wrong. Then he's like after we take it off, we'll take some skin off the roof of your mouth and put it where we cut off your gums...with only a few stitches. Then's he's like it's a very simple procedure and it doesn't hurt. Yeah, right.

I've had people telling me that for years, but I have never seen any data to back it up. I only know of 2 dentists that have committed suicide and I know a lot of dentists.

Phil,

Sorry to hear that you have to have gum surgery. Yes the roof of your mouth will be sore after the procedure, but the area of the surgery shouldn't be too bad. What I have been told by patients is that the roof of your mouth will feel like a really bad pizza burn for about a week. I hope this helps.
