hey guys.. i just bought a cheap aerator.. those 12 dollar ones for 8 gallons of water that run on AA batteries.. i think its for minnows.. would it be sufficient to keep bass alive during the course of one of our tourney's? if not, how about if i get a 2nd one?

Bag of ice will also help oxygenate the water
Yes it will, but you do not want to put big change in water temp as when released they can go into shock and die :(

you dont use ice, the ice is made with chlorinated water. Make a ziplock or some bottles of ice and use that. I have a powerhead (water circulating pump) If you have room in your cooler for a few of my 5 lbers steve? My other plan is a stringer> either string em up in one spot? or else put them in a tub for a couple minutes only while travelling?

yea ice dramatically changes the temps I usually just throw a bottle that was frozen the night before and that should last you through the tourny. Also just open your cooler only when needed, because the water in there does warm up quickly. Also just get that please release me stuff and use that when you're fishing hot days.
