Anetsberger Pond 9/8/2006

I was done with work early today so I decided to try the Anetsberger Pond. I fished for about 90 minutes and managed 3 LMB. Two were 12-13" and one was about 16-17". I also lost 2 more when they jumped. The fish all wanted to jump to spit the hooks. The big one put up quite a fight. I was using an UL spinning rod and he spooled me 3 times before I brought him in. All fish were caught on a black Zoom Trick Worm with a jig head.

There was only one other guy fishing there and I didn't see him catch anything. It was a beautiful day to be outside.

I forgot to add that I think they may have put some cribs in when they redid the pond. All of the fish were caught in the same area of the pond, which makes me think that there might be a crib located there.
Nice...that place is in Northbrook, right? Where is it exactly? I want to try somewhere new this week.
Techny Rd. Between Waukegan and Shermer. Techny is currently one way going east due to road construction.

I just googled it and some website said that the boyscouts did some work there to improve fishing by adding structure.
Back about I'd say.......... 6-7 years ago, a couple of my buds and I sunk tons of logs/branches and wood tying them to rocks and throwin' em out, they should be all around. I think there are a couple xmas tress in there somewhere....... but yeah i'm assuming a lot of it is cleared out
Tim, I think that they cleaned up the pond pretty well and that stuff is probably gone.
hey toothdoc, so where was the fish crib/area u were talkin about? I think i might head out this afternoon for 45 mins or so.
I think that there is one on the east side of the lake. If you go and fish on the east side as far north as possible and then cast to the northwest. I hope this helps.
