i was wondering what the average ice thickness is up north. My fishing buddy is larger and doesnt trust 4-6"s. Also, any hotspots right now? Ive only fished catherine. thanks

7-10" after last night maybe even more.

5-6" can hold a ATV.

Welcome to WCF catch!. Legend is right about the thickness of ice supporting an ATV or snowmobile. With all of the cold weather that we have had for the past week, the ice should be more than adequate to support your buddy.
