A friend took me out today from 10:30 - 3 on the private lake he lives on . All the slush made it like walking on flypaper across the whole lake, but it turned out to be worth it. First, my son caught his first tip-up fish - an 18" walleye.

My buddy scored next with a 30" pike. then about 1/2 hr later I pulled a 34" pike up. After that the rain moved in & the bite died down.

We had 2 other fish spin the dial & trip the flag but they dropped the bait before we could get a hook in them.
