Well got there a little late like around 6:45 started working my regular spot right in front of the parking lot started off with a crawler just to eh.. got lots of nibbles by the gills but nothing good. So i got tired of feeding the gills..lol and threw a senko like around 7:15 and yeah working on dat no hits for like 10 minutes just me casting waiting twitching u know the drill. Then my girlfriend starts getting excited and shes reeling and splash splah its a perch! First time seing a perch there. She was using a crawler with a tear drop sinker. So I was getting a little jeleous went to the other side and the guys on the other side caught a bass..so I was feeling left out..threw out the senko one more time..and then................nothing, after that threw a spinner got bored..and 5 minutes before the DNR came to kick us out. wham land a nice little LM bass. HA! didnt get skunked after all! Well this time I brought my phone so crappy pics..so bear with me.

Heres my Girlfriend..and her Perch.

Good stuff, thanks for the report.

About 12 years ago, Axehead was the #1 Cook County forest preserve lake for perch - believe it or not. Since that time however, the perch numbers have been in rapid decline.

Nice job.
